The Northeast Ohio Citizens League is an Ohio nonprofit corporation. In the process of filing for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, NEOCL currently has a fiscal agency relationship with ShoreBank Enterprise Group, Cleveland, which allows us to accept tax-exempt charitable donations (see below).

With nearly twelve-months of formative work behind us, NEOCL is ready to begin the work of engaging Northeast Ohio in this new civic space. Discussions around important public issues such as regional educational funding and healthcare systems, collaborative regional governance, and the best use of our region's great civic assets are desperately in need of the intensive citizen participation proposed by the Northeast Ohio Citizens League.

In addition to beginning the work of engaging citizens, NEOCL staff are also working hard behind the scenes to develop the organization into a long-term, sustainable civic asset for our region. This work includes forming a Board of Directors, developing our Membership opportunities, building out our civic tools - including this website, and reaching out to individual, corporate, and foundation partners to help launch this important civic venture.

As we seek funding, the Northeast Ohio Citizens League is currently working as a virtual organization. Our mailing address is 25253 Wolf Rd. Bay Village, Ohio.

Legal and tax exempt information

Northeast Ohio Citizens League is a registered corporation in the state of Ohio.

Donations to support the work of the Northeast Ohio Citizens League must be made payable to our fiscal sponsor, ShoreBank Enterprise Group, Cleveland and designated to NEOCL. As a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization, all contributions are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
